You are your own saviour-Virtual class assembly Std 9E

The students of class 9E with their class teacher presented their virtual class assembly on the 3rd of October, 2020. Rev. Fr. Rector, Rev. Fr. Principal, Vice Principal, Sir Rai and the Supervisor were present for the assembly. The assembly presented by the class was based on the theme ‘You are your own saviour.’
The assembly began with a prayer. In the initial part of the assembly the students stated some facts about the Earth: our only planet, with the help of a presentation. Dialogues between two friends were exchanged to create awareness about climate change. A video showing the changing conditions due to human activities was presented to sensitize everyone towards the Earth’s fragile state. After which a video of the students interviewing Ms. Amruta and Mr.Siddharth was played, which emphasized on why creating awareness is important. It was also based on why one needs to focus on making the earth sustainable again.
In the final part of the assembly the students urged everyone to live a simple life and to rethink their lifestyle choices, by presenting a video on adapting simple yet important alternatives which one can follow in his or her daily life.
In his address to the students Fr. Rector spoke about how not just creating awareness is important but taking an action also is. He urged the students to play their part in saving our Earth. Fr. Principal appreciated the efforts of the students and their class teacher while emphasizing the importance of being aware of their choices in life. The Supervisor, Mrs. Reshma Belgaonkar appreciated the class while quoting Dr. Jane Goodall, “What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” The assembly concluded with the comperes thanking everyone for their presence.
