Women’s Day celebrations in school
-Master Aldon D’Souza Std. IX
The International Women’s Day 2019 was celebrated all over the world on 8th March 2019 with great pomp and fervor. We at Don Bosco High School, Matunga, also did our part to pay tribute to every woman and to salute her immense contribution in shaping society.
The Student’s Council and the students of the school did their level best to make the ladies staff of the school feel special and on top of the world that day. The pink balloons and Women’s Day Quotes pinned in the ladies staff room and the school office were a warm welcome treat.
Our Principal Rev. Fr. Bernard Fernandes, during the morning assembly, prayed for women all over the world. Two students dialogued over the intercom on the important role of women in our lives and the respect that needs to be accorded to them. The students expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to the lady staff members by presenting a red rose, a chocolate and a card with a deep heartfelt message to each of them.
The management and the male staff organized a time of togetherness for all the ladies (Secondary, Primary and Kg) in their respective staff rooms with snacks and fun unlimited, making the day a very special and memorable one for all the ladies of the school.
