For the scholastic year 2019-20, the National children’s science Congress (NCSC) projects were undertaken by our school research club led by Ms. Barkha along with Ms. Aarti and Ms. Yugandhra. This year the theme for the projects is ‘Science, Technology and Innovation for a clean, green and healthy nation’.
Four research teams from the school enrolled in this program for this year. The senior group comprising Kyle, Ness, Sachin, Zaid and Sahil have undertaken the project on Oligodynamic effect of metals in combating pathogens in drinking water. The second group is the junior group having the participants Atharva, Geoffrey, Hrishikesh, Paurush and Jaiden who worked on Phytoremediation potential of Eichhornia crassipes in waste water treatment. Both these groups are guided by Ms. Barkha.
The third group under Ms. Aarti researched Managing E-waste by collecting recycling waste for clean and green environment. Junior boys of Std 6 working on this topic are Ayaan, Allan, Alden and Vignesh.
The above mentioned 3 projects cleared the scrutiny level and have now qualified for the pre-district level. The next stage viz. the oral presentation round will be held on 16th November, 2019.
The fourth group comprising the junior boys Rudra, Kshitiz, Arnav and Khush guided by Ms. Yugandra worked on Indian material medicines, therapeutic and phytochemical properties of everyday plants. This group did not make it to the next level.
Our heartiest congratulations to the teams and their guides who worked hard visiting faculties of colleges and related campuses for some well researched themes!
