The key to the greener planet is in our hands
-Ms. Deepa Nathani
The Class 7C put up their assembly on 17th July, 2019. The theme for the assembly was ‘The key to the greener planet is in our hands.’
The life story of the forest man of India, JadavPayeng, also known as Molai, who safeguarded nature by planting trees each day, was beautifully showcased in the form of a skit. It also highlighted the outcome of his hard work, converting the Jorhat region of Assam into a dense forest called the Molai forest.
The message of the love for the nature and animals was brought out through a graceful dance cum singing on “Na katoomujhedukhta.”
The rector Fr. Crispino D’Souza wished the teachers present for the assembly as it was also ‘Guru Purnima.’ Using the analogy of the bamboo tree which takes many years initially to grow, but once it’s roots are grown well, it starts growing rapidly and steadily, Fr Crispino urged that we all need to be like the bamboo tree.
The class 7C and the class teacher Ms.DeepaNathani was appreciated by the principal Fr. Bernard Fernandes, for the space being utilised well throughout the skit, and also commended for the dance, song and the amazing backdrop. The boy of class 7D Bernard Fernandes and the music troupe were congratulated for the background music on guitar and for the accompaniment at the singing of the song by the choir.
