Our sports teams – the players and the coaches – were not born with silver spoons in their mouths. True they were born into a wealth of sporting legacy, but surely each of these teams had to work their way up through sheer hard work, sacrifice and self-belief. The two junior hockey teams joined the ranks of their seniors in annexing MSSA titles when the u-10 and u-12 both won hockey championships on the same day. On Wednesday, 15th February 2017, both the school teams made a clean sweep of the titles on offer at Stanislaus grounds – coincidentally the home team were the opponents in the finals on each occasion. The u-10 team played brilliantly to annex the MSSA Oliver Andrade trophy defeating Stanislaus school 3-2, while the u-12 team laid their hands on the MSSA Walter D’Souza trophy defeating the home team 1-0. The school u-10 B football team won the 3rd place in the same tournament.

Earlier in January, our U-14 hockey team won the MSSA Fr. Donnelly Cup. We beat St. Stanislaus High School 3-1 in the finals of the MSSA organized inter-school hockey tournament played at St. Stanislaus grounds.

In basketball, the u-14 team, had to settle for the bronze medal in the MSSA inter-school tournament after defeating Dominic Savio Andheri 24-10 in the play-off for the third place.
