Thank you Don Bosco for blessing us!

-Ms. Valenka Fernandes

The Prayer Service was conducted by Std 8C on 2nd February 2018 being the first Friday of the month. The students offered prayers and thanksgiving to the Almighty for all the wonders he has done during this scholastic year 2017-2018. The students also exhibited their gratitude towards our Father and Founder St John Bosco through dance and intercessory prayers. They thanked Don Bosco for his blessings showered on us throughout the academic year.

The Prayer Service began with the Lighting of the Lamp followed by the meditation initiated by the class teacher. This was followed by the thought for the day through the narration of a short story accompanied by sound effects. The theme of the Prayer service was further reflected through the prayer dance and intercessory prayers. Following the Prayer Service the students put up a ‘Midget Dance’ as part of some entertainment for the assembly. Rev Fr Rector addressed the assembly congratulating the class and their class teacher for their sincere efforts.

The Catholic students of the Secondary section, Std 4 and the Kg section attended the Eucharistic celebration in the Shrine in honour of St. John Bosco whose feast was celebrated on 31st Jan 2018 across the world. Fr. Savio D’Souza, the Rector and Parish Priest of St. Dominic Savio Church, Wadala (E) was the main celebrant at the mass. At his homily, he narrated in brief the life of Johnny Bosco, and the influence of his mother on his upbringing. Fr. Savio called on each one in the congregation to be a saint following the example of St. John Bosco
