Stay Positive, Work Hard And Make It Happen –Choral recitation

-Ms. Colleen Azavedo and Ms. Christy Jagdish

In the words of Nancy Pearcey, “Competition is a good thing, it forces us to do our best.”

Stds 3 and 4 did just that on 19th January, 2018 when they competed in the inter-class Choral Recitation. The poems were selected by the teachers well in advance. The students were trained to recite the poem with facial expression, voice modulation, diction and intonation.

The three eminent judges who judged the competition, Mrs.Kanta Shinde, Miss Lynette D’Lima and Mrs. Gertrude Raj, were welcomed and introduced to our students. Putting their best foot forward, the students of every class recited the poem keeping well in mind the criteria on which they would be assessed. The judges had a difficult time in choosing the best. Mrs. Gertrude Raj was requested to speak to our boys. She said “Winners are not people who never fail, but people who never quit. “

Std 3 B and Std 4 C were declared the winners. Our Head Teacher Ms. Griselda Fernandes gave away the certificates to the winning teams.
