Smile and spread happiness-Cultural Day Std II

Ms. Tejal Masmar

Mother Teresa said, “We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do. A smile can do a lot.” This quote was reflected in the theme of Std II cultural day held on Saturday 29th September 2018, ‘Smile at your neighbour, spread love and peace’.

The energetic colourful performance on stage by the students did make the audience smile and be in good cheer. The children were expressive and bright in their singing, dancing and acting. Std II D inspired the audience with a powerful message that ‘A smile can heal a painful heart’.

The Rector, Rev. Fr. Crispino D’souza, addressed the gathering and appreciated the parents for their presence to witness the special efforts of their children on the stage. There were many aspects that contributed to the success of the day’s cultural program- the detailed coordination of the Head Teacher Mrs Griselda Fernandes, the lively music score and training of students by Sir Saby Franco, the hard work and regular practices by the teachers with their children and the willing cooperation by our parents.

Rocky Serrao a parent from Std 2D was all praise for his teachers. “Everything was well organized and well executed,” he said. “As we all know it is very difficult to handle kids, the staff did a very good job.”

Mrs Jyotsna Waghmare, another parent quipped, “It was a nice programme. Teachers are hardworking and we appreciate their efforts.”
