-Ms. Barkha Shah

On the 12th of September, 2019 the science research team of Don Bosco High School,Matunga conducted an awareness campaign to spread the importance of using metal containers to store water. This was taken up as a part of their NCSC project on Oligodynamic effect of metals in combating pathogens in drinking water.
The place chosen for this purpose was the five gardens near the school and the target group was the health conscious people who come there for morning exercise and fitness.
At around 9 am, the enthusiastic students with well prepared placards marched towards the place to explain the outcome of their microbiology experiment and how the knowledge of it can be useful in our day to day life. The reduction of pathogens in drinking water and keeping the waterborne diseases at bay was the main aim of the campaign.
The campaign was well appreciated by the people who even signed a petition.
It was an overall a great learning experience for the students.
