Don Bosco, Matunga students were invited to celebrate Science Day with the institute. 23 students from std. V to IX, accompanied by Ms. Yugandhara Kaskar joined the celebration.
The focus of their celebration this year was ‘Science for the people’. The program was divided into two parts. In the first half the Vice Chancellor, ICT addressed the students. He spoke about current research and technology innovations taking place in different labs at ICT.
In the second half the students were divided into groups and guided by PhD scholars and post graduate students to visit different departments and centres housed in the facility around the ICT campus.
The students visited the Departments of biosciences, food technology, physics, dyestuff, etc. and the Hall of Fame in the chemical engineering department, which had information and images on different scientists. The students were curious to know about the various research methods taking place in these different departments. Truly it was an enriching experience for the students and the teacher.
