Release of the first online issue of our school magazine ‘Don Bosco Courier’
-Sir Sherone George
The scholastic year 2020-21 has not yet seen the physical reopening of the school due to the ongoing pandemic and this has led to many ‘firsts’ in terms of online platforms of communication. There are the virtual classrooms, online assemblies and celebration of important occasions online in the wake of the Covid pandemic crisis. On the occasion of Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2020, the school released its first issue of the school magazine Don Bosco Courier for the new academic year 2020-21.
It is the school’s tradition to release the first issue of the academic year’s school magazine on the day we celebrate Teachers’ Day, viz. 5th September. This year we were not presented an opportunity for the physical release of this issue. However all efforts were taken by the Editorial team to release this issue online in time for the Teachers’ Day celebrations.
The issue carries on the front page the theme of the scholastic year “Committed citizens rebuilding a fragile world” and it covers the message of the Rector Fr. Crispino D’Souza, the Principal Fr. Bernard Fernandes, welcome to the new members in the school, Covid related topics, our achievements and the happenings in the school across all sections.
