Parents meet the class teachers of their wards
-Mr. Nelson D’Souza
It was an important occasion at Don Bosco Matunga today, 16th Aug 2019, since the day was set aside for the parents to meet the teachers of their wards to assess and review their performance at the class tests and Unit Test I. The Open day is an opportunity of paramount value since it is one of the official forums for the parent to interact with the class teacher to receive and give feedback on the child’s progress in academics and other activities.
The Open day was across all sections-Kg, Primary and the Secondary. The class teachers were at their desks much before the parents began to stream in along with their children. For a change from the earlier open days, there was no parking on the campus owing to security concerns; however the parents did brave the odds and the challenges of parking around the school campus and reported for the open day. The expressions of parents and students upon meeting the teachers were varied-some overjoyed with the performance, the others moderate in their outlook while the others out with a resolve to do better next time.
The meeting with parents ended by 1 pm. However, the teachers continued with their meetings to review the overall performance and plan for the term ahead.
