Our AHM Mrs. Christina celebrates her 50th birthday!
-Ms. Pauline Vallado
It was a momentous and memorable day for our AHM Mrs. Christina Mascarenhas on 30th January 2021-it was her 50th birthday! Plans were afoot to make this day a special one for Mrs. Christina given the restrictions of the Covid pandemic. Representatives of the Heads, Supervisors, staff and students spent time to cull significant moments in the life of our AHM contacting her family members and visiting the school albums.
The well planned program was put together at an online Google meet for the staff and student representatives on 30th January at 9.00 am. Mrs. Christina was felicitated in her office in the presence of the Principal Fr. Bernard Fernandes, the Vice-Principal Sir CliffRichard D’Souza, her daughter Erica, son Dean and representatives of Student council. There was the cutting of the cake, presentation of a bouquet and memento to Mrs. Christina in the AHM’s office. The online celebrations included a birthday song in English and French by our students Keagan and Kyle, a beautiful rendition by students of Std X of the favourite songs of the birthday girl, an album down memory lane that captured the many special moments in her life, recorded wishes from the family members and a lively dance by the Secondary staff specially dedicated to Mrs. Christina.
Our Rector Fr. Crispino D’Souza and the Principal Fr. Bernard Fernandes spoke on this occasion and commended Mrs. Christina for her dedicated and passionate service at Don Bosco Matunga these many years. Thanking all the people that made this special celebration possible, Mrs. Christina in her speech cherished her stint at DBHS Matunga and said that she would always continue to give her best to the institution that she loves.
We wish Mrs. Christina many more years of joy and happiness!
