-Ms. Sonali D’Silva
The Mykensho team(Ms. Parveen Shaikh and Ms. Shreya) conducted an orientation session for the secondary staff of Don Bosco High School, Matunga on 14th June 2017. The session aimed at familiarizing the staff members with the Mykensho portal (Career guidance program for Stds. VII to X) and to integrate the various aspects of career guidance in their day to day teaching. The teachers were impressed upon the need to be aware of the changing job scenarios and the technological innovations in our country. Ms.Parveen emphasized the role of a teacher as a facilitator in the age of the internet. She also stressed that the teachers explore the portal themselves so that they can use the information in the class. In this regard, the Mykensho team would provide a login for the teachers so that the information on the portal becomes easily accessible. The team congratulated Don Bosco High School for ranking in the top best three schools practising the MyKensho Career Guidance program in India. Mr. Nelson was awarded the Best Coordinator and Ms. Dipti Shah and Ms. Sonali D’Silva as the Best Practitioner.
Fr. Principal urged the teachers to use the portal for their personal growth even though they may not be directly connected to the Career Guidance program and use it as a tool to follow up their students as also ensure parental participation.
