My Neighbour, My Responsibility
Let us listen with the heart
Mrs Elizabeth Soares
Inspired by the strenna of the Rector Major for the year on accompaniment, Class 7D decided to have their assembly that focused on responsible behaviour that needs a listening heart. The entire class was briefed well in advance on the theme which made accompaniment a meaningful and loving experience. Each and every student along with the parents and teacher did sense the need of the other and accompanied each other with the sharing of talents at music, song, dance and skit, thus making the assembly vibrant and engaging. The skit reflected the role of the responsible neighbour in class, at home, the canteen and in the housing society.
In his speech, Fr.Rector inspired the students with his words while narrating the life of Queen Elizabeth of Hungary who is revered today as St. Elizabeth. The beauty of this Saint, he said, was her kindness and love manifested in her care for the lepers through the sharing of the food from her palace. Fr. Rector appreciated the role of the parents in engaging with the class teacher and the students to make the assembly meaningful. Fr. Principal too had a word or two of appreciation for the class teacher and the students for the meticulous planning, practice and execution of the assembly.
The assembly concluded with the scholarship awards for students of Stds 5, 6 & 7 who excelled in the last academic year.
