Jr.Kg. celebrated their Cultural day on Saturday, 18th February 2017. The theme -DON BOSCO LIVES ON was very well depicted through song, dance and drama. It was the first big stage experience for the children of the Jr. Kg. since they were performing for the very first time on the stage. The parents, guardians and well-wishers assembled in the hall were excited with eager expectation to see their small ones perform on the grandstand.

The programme began with a Welcome song followed by prayer dance to the hymn “I THANK GOD” where the boys were smartly dressed in costumes worn in different states of India. The skit that followed next illustrated how Don Bosco still lives among us through the Salesian priests and brothers who work for the young, especially the poor. It detailed their work for the education of boys, their training through many skills such as jugglery, carpentry, art & craft, games like basketball, football  etc.  Some students are given remedial help if required which proves beneficial to them. Few students who have learnt these skills come back and teach the next generation.

The programme ended with the Principal’s speech and farewell song. The Supervisor and the Jr. Kg. teachers were lauded for their noteworthy efforts in training the young children perform on the stage with confidence and excellence.  The parents were indeed surprised to see their sons perform so well on the big stage.
