Father and Teacher of the Young – Bosco week (Primary)
-Sarra Mullick and Richa Singh
“It is enough that you are young for me to love you very much.”– Don Bosco.
Bosco week is observed every year in order to introduce our students to St. John Bosco, our patron Saint and to recount his abundant blessings. The students of Standards 1 to 4 observed Bosco Week from 23 January to 30 January 2018.
Saint Don Bosco – “Great is a teacher’s influence on his pupils if they love him”.
The corridors and class boards were decorated with charts on the quotes of Don Bosco. Every morning hymns were sung and short stories related to his life were narrated at morning assembly talks through which students could learn the values which would help them become better persons. Videos on the life of Don Bosco were screened for the better understanding of the students; tips of Don Bosco for school children were read. Worksheets based on the life of Don Bosco were given to the boys.
In this way the Bosco Week was well executed. The students enjoyed the week and also got to know more about the life of Don Bosco, his love for the young. They resolved to practice at least one quality of Don Bosco in the days ahead.
