As we headed towards the Gateway of India the sea-water seemed shining-bright as the sunrays fell below. The crew members of Zion travels shared important information about the Gateway of India. The Gateway of India was to be built in 1911, however the work on the began in 1913 and was completed by 1923 .The monument was erected to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary at Apollo Bunder on their visit to India in 1911.
