Festivals from a child’s point of view, mean fun, feasts, presents, new clothes, dancing, singing, rituals, bursting crackers, blessings and happiness. In keeping with what the children are learning in class. Standard 2 celebrated ‘Festive Frolic Day’ on 26th November, 2016. The classrooms were suitably decorated for the occasion. The students came dressed in their traditional outfits bringing with them a myriad of colour and smiles. All the children were majestically attired which showed the keen interest taken by the parents to prepare the child for the occasion. In the classroom, there were discussions, viewing of power point presentation ‘Indian Festivals’  and games which added to the festivity. The students noted these in their worksheet in the form of quizzes and puzzles. The day ended with the students sharing their traditional snacks and sweets with their classmates. The excitement of the children was palpable as they celebrated the day with cheer and happiness.
