Every Ending has a New Beginning!
-Mrs. Sonali Dsilva
“I cannot say goodbye to those whom I have grown to love, for the memories we have made will last a lifetime, and will never know a goodbye.”
A farewell program was organized for the outgoing batch of Class X on February 15, 2020. The students were welcomed by the staff as they all entered the school in an elegant attire. The program began with a prayer service and the lightening of the lamp. Our Rector, Rev. Fr. Rector Crispino Dsouza then addressed the students on life and its challenges. He quoted “We miss the things the most once they are gone.” He asked the students to ponder over their past 12 years in school and hoped that they had enjoyed their school life to the fullest.
Mrs Bela took over the entertainment programme which included many interesting and tricky games for students of Std 10 which were played to pep up the ambience. The students of Std 9 showcased a dance performance on traditional and modern Hindi movies songs. The juniors created an environment of enjoyment and music for the students to enjoy their last memories in school.
The Primary and the Pre-primary teachers sang melodious songs which flash backed memories for the students as they reminisced their journey through school. The Supervisor of Std 9 and 10, Mrs. Lakshmi addressed the students and said that being students they will always remember their school days and this was a special batch for her as she had been teaching them since Std 5. The staff wished the students luck and well-being for their future.
The Principal, Rev. Fr. Bernard Fernandes blessed the SSC hall tickets and the students soon appearing for their board exams. He appealed to the students to do their best and face life challenges with confidence. The vote of thanks was proposed by Craig D’Cruz, the school captain. Summing up, the day was great, filled with nostalgia, fun and excitement!
