Every child is an artist
-Ms. Christy Jagdish and Ms. Mohini Goshi
It is rightly said that “Art enables us to find ourselves and loose ourselves at the same time.” Colours and shapes took a million forms on the Art Attack Day held on the 19th and 20th August, 2019 in the Primary Section of Don Bosco High School, Matunga.
Some find it difficult to express themselves using words and actions, so drawing is another medium that one can use to put forward his thoughts on paper. Our students could create their master pieces creatively on topics such as-A village scene, A scene at the railway station, A fruit basket and A rainy day. They were notified about these topics well in advance so as to master their skills and deliver their best. The drawing competition held enhanced their imagination, cognitive process, fine motor and coordination skills as well. Ten best drawings were short listed from each class and the winners were awarded certificates for the same. As a new learning they viewed clips that taught them innovative colouring tips and tricks such as Ear bud painting, Thread painting, Bubble wrapper painting and Doodle colouring
Aaryan Singh, a student of 3A said, “We enjoyed Art Attack Day thoroughly as we got a deeper insight on various methods of painting.” “It gave me an opportunity to express myself through colours,” said Aashmann Savardekar a student of Std 2C.
The creativity of the students was indeed commendable.
