English Elocution Competition – Stds. 3 and 4

The students of Stds. 3 and 4 had their English Elocution Competition on 13th September,2017. The students were asked to prepare for this important event much in advance. After a series of qualifying rounds, twelve students from each standard were selected for the finals.
The eminent judges for the day were Mrs. Kanta Shinde, Mrs. Kuma Khambata and Mrs. Nutan Natu who were cordially welcomed by Mrs. Colleen Azavedo. The participants were marked for choice of poem, memory, facial expressions, clarity of speech and voice modulation. Right through the competition, the young contestants recited their poem with confidence and enthusiasm.
The intent of the competition touched upon various aspects of public speaking such as breathing, posture and articulation. The competition being stiff, the judges had a demanding task to select the winners.
The programme ended with the Vote of thanks.

2nd prize – Shryan Ashok and Ayaan Thakkar
3rd prize – Anakin Lalwani
1st prize – Aaditya Kotian
2nd prize – Allan Edanatt
3rd prize – Mohammed Ayaan Khan
