Celebrating World Students’ Day in standards 7 & 8

World Students’ Day is celebrated every year on October 15. It marks the birth anniversary of former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. The United Nations declared October 15 as World Students’ Day in 2010 to honour Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
The theme of World Students’ Day 2020 is ‘Learning for people, planet, prosperity, and peace’.
On this occasion, a short programme was scheduled for the students of Std 7 & 8 on Thursday, 15th October.The English teachers posted the following material at 10am on their English Google Classroom.
1)Two pdf books on Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam
2)Two motivational videos
3)One Video Presentation
4)Write-up on World Students’ Day.
The students were required to watch the videos and read the books posted when they were free taking a break from their studies. Ms. Jui, Ms. Sydelle and Ms. Jancy along with the supervisor Ms Anita Philip coordinated the day’s program and made this day a memorable one for the students.
The programme highlighted the fact that it is important to be a good student but it is priceless and way more important to be a good human being.
