Boscoites observe International Anti-Drugs and Narcotics Day
-Master Tanil Sheth 9-D

“Drugs aren’t cool;they make you look like a fool.”
The above statement encapsulates the pitfalls of the drugs culture. Consuming drugs is harmful and perilous. 26th June is observed as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. This day is observed to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drugs.
On 26th June 2019, the NCC boys of Don Bosco High School, Matunga had a short meeting where they expressed their thoughts on Anti drugs and Narcotics day. There was a video presentation through which the young minds realised that anyone can fall prey to drugs. Also not just drugs, but medicine taken without a prescription from the doctor and an overdose of any medicine can make one addicted to drugs. On this World Anti-Drugs and Narcotics Day, we all pledge to not get involved in any drugs related group or activity and help addicts access treatment wherever possible.
