-Ms. Raveena D’Souza
The students of Class 7C along with their class teacher Ms. Raveena D’souza conducted a virtual assembly on 16th February, 2021 at 9:00 am through Google meet. The online assembly was attended by the School Principal Rev. Fr. Bernard Fernandes, Rector Rev. Fr. Crispino D’Souza, Vice Principal Sir Clifford D’Souza, AHM Mrs. Christina Mascarenhas and Supervisor Mrs. Lakshmi Krishna along with few teachers and parents.
The theme of the assembly was ‘Being of service to others is what brings true happiness’, keeping in mind the school theme for this current academic year ‘Committed Citizens rebuilding a fragile world.’
The assembly began with a power-point presentation followed by the National Anthem and the Morning Prayer. The teacher then welcomed and greeted the Rector, Principal, Department Heads, teachers and class students. A rejuvenating mediation was conducted by Mrs. Bela followed by an inspiring skit called ‘Good Samaritan’ which was based on the class theme. A video presentation ‘Lean on Me’ was then streamed which depicted the message of service to others. The students conveyed their class theme effectively through various means such as a poem ‘Anti-Virus’ recited by Jeochrist and Rustom, a song ‘Lend a helping hand’ sung by Ezekiel Henry, a melodious flute rendition on ‘Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisar’ by Nishit Jain promoting the message of selfless service, an entertaining dance performance by class students on a similar theme and a thought provoking monologue by Rudra and Ezekiel.
Father Rector and Father Principal addressed the assembly and congratulated the class teacher and students for a well organized program that witnessed a commendable team work among the members. The assembly concluded with the Vice Principal Sir Clifford, AHM Mrs. Christina and Supervisor Mrs. Lakshmi appreciating the boys for their creativity in the presentation of the day’s assembly.
