Father Crispino D’Souza, the Rector, addressing the staff at the occasion said, “In an age where lasting commitments are on the decline, it is very difficult to be working at the same place and give your wholehearted service. However Miss Barbara has proved that it is possible. We appreciate her invaluable service to the school.”
Miss Barbara gave an unfeigned speech with a heavy heart and moist eyes as she expressed her gratitude and the pain of departing from the school. “I will always cherish the moments I spent in school,” she whispered emotionally.
Father Bernard Fernandes, the Principal of the school, emphasised the 34 long years of commendable service in Don Bosco High School by Miss Barbara and wished her a serene retired life. The program concluded with a prayer followed by sumptuous lunch.
