A stamp of class and colour at the inter-house Hindi One Act Play competition

Majestic stage set-up, attractive costumes, well rehearsed acts and an amazing spirit at the venue set the tone for the inter-house Hindi one act play competition held on 22nd July 2019 in the Bianchi Hall. The Hindi faculty worked hard, planned in detail and selected plays that would lend themselves to good acting and a sound message.
Respect to women from Shivaji’s life was enacted by the Blue house (Hindavi Swaraj Mein Nari Ka Astitva). The Green house settled for yet another historical play on how Prithviraj Chauhan a blind king killed Mohammed Ghuri tactfully (Prithviraj ki Aankhen). ‘Dowry’ a system still prevalent in the Indian society was portrayed by the Yellow house in a satirical form (Ek Nayi Subah). The Red house enacted the festival of moonlight which highlights the story of Prince Kalyanavarma of Magadha (Kaumudi Mahotsav).
The judges Mrs. Daisy Sharma, Ms. Alpa Satoor, Mrs.Swati Patil were in awe of the performances and had high praise for the organizers, the students, the enactment, dialogue delivery and a well disciplined audience.
Nihar Mandavkar (Yellow house)was judged as the Best actor in a female role. Ranveer Singh O Thakur (Green house) and Jasraj Singh Bindra ( Blue house) were judged as the best actor in a male role.
The Blue house bagged the first place with 139 points followed by the Green house with 136 points and the Yellow house with 134 points.
