A hurrah to the Management
-Mrs. Lakshmi Krishna
The management of any institution forms its pillars and on it the institution lives, grows and thrives. These members orchestrate and lead their team to success with their experience, skills, knowledge and guidance.
Every year, Don Bosco Matunga celebrates Management Day to convey our deep gratitude to our leaders. This year Management day was celebrated on 4th December 2020. Being the first Friday of the month, there was mass that was live streamed in the morning at 9am with Fr. Elson Barretto, our Administrator, as the main celebrant.
Given the pandemic situation and the lockdown guidelines, the programme for the management was conducted virtually from 10.30am onwards. Our guests of honor were our Rector Fr.Crispino D’Souza, Principal Fr. Bernard Fernandes, Administrator Fr. Elson Barretto, DBHS student mentor Fr. Vincent Rasqinha, DBIS student mentor Fr.Orville Coutinho and Fr.Vinod Mascarenhas, our religion teacher.
The entire staff was present for the program. The well written address was read by Ms. Kashmira Rodrigues on behalf of the staff and Dean Mascarenhas conveyed the sentiments of the students. The program began with a prayer dance by the teachers followed by a presentation for the management, some fun games and foot tapping dances again by the teachers and Std 10 students. A skit by the teachers on the challenges faced during online teaching kept the audience enthralled.
Fr. Rector thanked his community and the staff who have kept the ball rolling during this pandemic. Fr. Principal concluded the eventful morning expressing his gratitude to all those who were responsible for the successful planning and execution of the programme.
