Getting immersed in history – Field trip Std 6

-Ms. Reena Perumbully

The students of standard VI went for their field trip to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya – formerly known as Prince of Wales – museum on 1st Feb 2018. The classes were accompanied by their respective teachers and the supervisor Mrs.Babara Fernandes. At the museum, the students enjoyed a session on preservation of fauna. These teach us to live in the real world in spite of pollution and land grabbing by builders and re-developers. We also visited the different sections of the building that included the history of coins, cloth, art works, history based on civilization, one such example being the Harappan civilization. These were indeed moments for children to relive and cherish their history!
