Christmas festivities conclude in the Primary section
-Ms. Pearl Lobo, Ms. Sarra Mullick and Ms. Richa Singh
Christmas is a time of giving and sharing; keeping this in mind the students of Std I celebrated Santa Day on 15th December, 2017. They were asked to wear a red T-shirt to represent Santa. An interactive discussion was conducted in the classroom. A video was shown to the children to tell the story of Santa Claus. This was informative and enjoyable. The students enjoyed making a ‘Santa’ cap, followed by a worksheet that involved a lot of creativity. They did sing carols and their all time favourite “Must Be Santa.” They were surprised to see Santa visit their classrooms and encouraged them to write letters in order to receive their gift this Christmas. Santa did give sweets to the children and wished them a merry Christmas.
Post the Christmas vacation, the students of the Primary section had their Christmas Field Trip on January 5, 2018 to the Don Bosco Shrine. Here the students were made aware of the significance of the festival through the display of the nativity scene. With their pure and innocent hearts the students stood at the enchanting Christmas crib and prayed to Baby Jesus to guide them every day. A prayerful and meaningful end to a beautiful Christmas season!
