The 7th edition of Green School’s Campaign teacher’s orientation program was conducted by the Greenline organisation on¬†5th July, 2016¬†at Don Bosco Provincial House, Matunga. Ms. Barkha Shah, a Nature club teacher of the school represented the school at this session.

The program began with Fr. Savio, the Greenline Director, giving the introductory speech and stating the objective of the campaign ‘To create a whole generation of environmentally engaged citizens.’ He also declared the theme of this year ‘ Jal ka Jhol!’ that would define all the activities and sessions during this scholastic year. The session focused on the need to save water following the 3 A’s strategy :1)Awareness 2) Appreciation 3) Action.

There was the screening of a short film on water crisis followed by enriching talks by Dr. Ajit Gokhale on urban water solutions and by Mr. Sachin Marti on saving traditional water systems. These helped the participants understand the gravity of the problem faced by us, and the need to plan to work towards a solution through our nature club activities
