Workshop on Documentary Film Making by GreenLine.
-Ms. Lakshmi Krishna
The GreenLine team headed by Fr. Savio Silveira sdb conducted a workshop on documentary film making for the students and staff of the GreenLine schools. The workshop was held on 16th October in the Don Bosco Provincial building, Matunga.
The resource person was Mr. Macson D’Almeida who was also associated with the GreenLine team until last year. The session began at 9. 30 am with an introduction by Fr. Savio on the session proceedings and the resource person from GreenLine.
Our school was represented by two students, Manprem and Kevin along with teacher, Ms. Lakshmi at this workshop. The students were taught the various aspects of film making and told how simple the process has become with modern technology. The students practically tried their hand at the various methods of photo-shooting and the various types of shots on their mobile phone.
After this they were divided into groups and were given an hour to make a film using a topic of their choice.
It was a great experience for the students. In the last session they were taught how to use the Quik and Adobe Spark Video apps to edit and complete the film with the pictures, videos and audios. A few groups presented their film. The participants did a wonderful job given the fact that for many this was their first attempt at film making.
