The Junior Scouts i.e. the Cubs of Don Bosco High School, Matunga packed their bags for their Annual Camp on the 18th and 19th January 2020. The 45 cubs were accompanied by the following teachers: Ms Geetanjali, Ms.Arti and Sir Nehal. The students set out for Pinewood Resort, Karjat on 18th January at 2.00 p.m. The students reached their destination and received their room keys for the stay. They were served delicious snacks. After a few hours of rest, the students went for a Bakery visit which helped them to learn about the basic techniques of baking bread and biscuits.
The students were served an early dinner and post dinner, the teachers organised a camp fire activities for the students. The activities included skits, mime and street plays. The following day the students went for a Village Walk and traversed through the minimalistic lifestyle of the village. They explored the various landforms around the village like the swamps and a river. This day was filled with thrilling activities like rock climbing, rappelling and rope walking. The students enjoyed a few hours of leisure time at the pool. Post lunch the cubs were engaged in the Tug of War with their various groups which was then followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony. The Cubs were rewarded with an experience of learning through a first-hand experience. The Boscoites learnt values of discipline, leadership, team work and generosity through this fun filled trip.
