9A ASSEMBLY
Parents – God’s Living Presence in Our Lives: Assembly by Class 9A
By Ms. Lakshmi Krishna
Class 9A conducted a meaningful assembly on 22nd July 2026 on the theme “Parents – God’s Living Presence in Our Lives.” The assembly began with a peaceful meditation, followed by a heartfelt prayer seeking God's blessings upon all parents.
The highlight of the programme was a series of four short skits portraying different forms of parental love and sacrifice. The first depicted the challenges faced by a single parent balancing work and raising a child. The second showcased the invaluable role of grandparents in nurturing and guiding their grandchild. Another skit highlighted the unwavering support of parents who patiently care for children with learning or speech difficulties. The final skit celebrated the unconditional love of adoptive parents. Together, these presentations conveyed a powerful message: although parents may have different roles and circumstances, they all speak one universal language—love.
The assembly concluded with a graceful dance followed by the inspirational song You Raise Me Up. During the performance, the students expressed their gratitude by presenting handmade cards and flowers to their parents and teachers. The concluding message, “We Love You,” beautifully conveyed the students’ love, respect, and appreciation for all parents.
In his concluding address, Fr. Godfrey emphasized the immeasurable love, sacrifices, and dedication of parents, reminding the students to honour, respect, and cherish them, for parents are God's living presence in the lives of their children.
