National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28th February each year to mark the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on this day in 1928. The Science Day celebrations began on 27th February, with five teams of two students each from Don Bosco, Matunga, participating in the quiz conducted at the V.J.T.I. College of Engineering. Siddarth Ghosh, Class IX and Siddarth Unny, Class VIII qualified for the next round. 28th February being a Sunday, we celebrated Science Day in school on the 29th. Students of Class VI displayed informative charts on scientific inventions and discoveries. We had presentations in all the classes. Class VII E students had a special presentation on scientists. The students also made and displayed models.
