Hindi Diwas, a day celebrated to commemorate and pay respects to not only our national language, but the second most commonly spoken language of the world. On this occasion the Hindi department of Don Bosco High School, Matunga organized a beautiful programme named ‘Haasya Kavita Vaachan’, a recitation of humorous poems for students of Standard VII, who never failed to clap, even for a single contestant.
The esteemed judges of the competition were highly proficient and richly experienced teachers. They were Dr. Pragya Tiwari- an assistant professor at the esteemed Mumbai University, Mrs. Neelam Mishra –a multi-talented personality, an actor, teacher at Amulakh High School and a poetess. The third judge was Mrs. Rekha Yadav – an experienced Hindi teacher at the J. B. Vachha High School.
The contestants, divided into the senior and the junior group, were well prepared and gave their best. The recitation of the poems was a real blast! The whole audience, along with the judges was in splits. The programme was a good stress buster.
Mrs. Neelam consented to express her views and show her singing skills and entertained the audience. Alas, all good things must come to an end, and the students went back to their classes, nevertheless, with cheerful grins on their faces.
