Happy Moments with Parents-Parent’s Day Celebration in the Primary section

“Parental love is the only love that is truly selfless, unconditional and forgiving.”
On July 26, 2019 Don Bosco Primary School for the first time organized ‘Parent’s Day’ to honour all mums and dads and celebrate the values that bind families from one generation to the next.

The parent representatives of each class were cordially invited for a felicitation program at the morning assembly. The day began by invoking God’s blessings. The Head Teacher Mrs. Griselda Fernandes addressed one and all, throwing light on the importance of the role played by parents in a child’s life. The class monitors handed over a small token of appreciation to the parents for their many sacrifices and love bestowed on their children.

However a celebration without a cake cutting is charmless. The parents together sliced the cake and were then presented creative cards and a book mark that were prepared with lots of love by the Head Teacher and our dear children.

“Thank you so much for the memorable celebration. It was indeed very thoughtful on the part of the Management and teachers to organize the same,” says Mrs Maryann Fernandes Class Representative of Std IV D. “Thank you for a wonderful celebration! It was lovely to see the enthusiasm of the kids as well as the teachers to celebrate Parent’s Day,” says Neelam, mother of Xian Fernando Std IA thanking the students and the staff of the school.

Parents are the child’s first teachers. Their role in a child’s life is irreplaceable. Their involvement at school is as important as their involvement at home. Parents have a wealth of skills and experiences that they contribute to the school every year. Their participation has enriched the celebration today.
