Grandparents are the best friends of their grand children. They are special to every child. Their knowledge is invaluable and their love is unconditional.
The Primary section of our school celebrated Grandparents’ Day on 23rd July, 2016. The celebration of this day aimed at bringing about a positive change in the outlook of the present generation of adults, teenagers and children. The grandparents of our children were invited as special guests on Grandparents’ Day to the Bianchi Hall at DBIS. The celebration began with a warm welcome by the students of Std.I, followed by lightning of the lamp by the Head Teacher, special guests and a few grandparents. The students of Stds. II and III got the grandparents to tap their feet through their lively dance. Thereafter, grandparents too were called to relive some of their old memories on the dance floor when they mingled with their grandchildren at a dance session. The celebration ended with a Thank You song by the students of Std IV.
The young students were elated to surprise their loved ones with special performances. This day helped the grandchildren to say Thank You and spend quality time with their grandparents. It was an event to remember, and indeed, we look forward to many more such events.
