Field trip provides a real, first-hand experience. It increases the quality of education, provides accurate information and helps in effective learning. The boys of Std I visited the Chatrapati Shivaji Museum on 29th September, 2016. During their visit, they were taken to the animal section where they saw different kind of animals, birds, mammals and fish. It was very realistic. Students received a real life experience of the animal kingdom. The explanation of the stuffing of the bird and identification of gender was provided by the guides at the museum. The procedures of building its nest by the weaver bird were also demonstrated. The children were thrilled to view life size stuffed animals and birds at the museum. They returned from their trip wiser and better informed. Upon arrival at school, they tested their knowledge solving interesting worksheets based on their learning.
