Field Trip – Primary section Christmas

For God So Loved The World That He Sent His Only Begotten Son That Whoever Believes In Him Should Not Perish But Have Eternal Life.- Bible

On 6th January, 2017, the entire Primary Section had their Christmas field trip. Prior request was made to the shrine-in-charge, Rev. Fr. Edwin D’Souza and the children were suitably prepared for the same by their class teachers. After the morning prayers, the students were taken to the shrine of Mary Help of Christians, which is in the school campus, where an elaborate Christmas crib was displayed. The children, as instructed earlier by their teacher, entered the church in respectful silence. Many bowed before the altar before proceeding to see the crib. Once they all assembled around the crib, the teacher narrated the Christmas story and explained the scene depicted in the crib, while the children listened in rapt attention. The teacher told the students that Christmas is the birthday of Lord Jesus Christ and stressed the fact that it is Jesus, not Santa Claus, who is the centre figure of the Christmas story.

The students returned to the class having had an enriching and joyful experience at the Christmas crib.
