Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together, makes this world a beautiful garden.
Children’s Day is celebrated all over India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on 14th November for his love for children. Pandit Nehru was lovingly called by the children as Chacha Nehru. In our school, various cultural programmes and events were organised by the staff of the Pre-Primary and Primary section to celebrate Children’s Day on 11th November, 2019.
The program in the hall began with Ms Shoba our Supervisor leading us into prayer seeking Divine blessings on our children. This was followed by lighting of the lamp. A few games were played with the Pre-Primary boys that they thoroughly enjoyed and the winners were awarded a token of appreciation. A very special and entertaining show was staged by a juggler and a magician who mesmerized the children with amazing acts and tricks. The children were so engrossed in the activity that they remained spellbound and quiet. The nightingales (teachers) of the Primary section sang a song and an enthralling dance performance on a medley of a few Bollywood songs was performed by the staff of the Pre-Primary section to show their love and appreciation to the children.
Children’s Day is a very special day for every child and the celebration in school add colour to their day. The smile and happiness expressed on each child’s face were a reflection of this. Our children are our greatest treasure and they are our future!
