Childrens’ Day at the Primary Section, Don Bosco Matunga
In fond memory of the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru which is on 14th November and his love for children being a well known fact, the Kindergarten and Primary Sections of Don Bosco High School, Matunga celebrated Children’s Day on 11th November, 2019.
Wess Stafford has rightly said, “Every child you encounter is a divine appointment.” To fulfil this duty the teachers strove to ensure that the children had the most wonderful moments in school on this day. The classrooms looked resplendent with pretty charts prepared by the teachers and eye-catching decorations.
The children dressed in their best assembled in the recreational area of the school for prayer and entertainment. The day began with a short assembly. The symbolic lamp was lit and a prayer was said to seek God`s choicest blessings on the students. The children won prizes in the games organised for them by their teachers. Through a song, the teachers of the Primary Section assured the students of always being there for them while the teachers of the Kindergarten danced to the tune of some catchy songs. The alumni from our Past Pupils Association extended their support by organising some skilful jugglery and an enchanting magic show. The children really enjoyed the juggler’s skills and the magician’s sleight of hand. Thereafter, the children enthusiastically completed worksheets especially designed for this day in the classroom.
The smiles on the faces of the children at the end of the day were gratifying.
