Break a leg, Boscoites!

The Raell Padamsee speech and drama team, The ACE (Academy for Creative Expressions), conducted a short, informal Performance for standards 5th and 6th of Don Bosco High School, Matunga. The programme was held on 23rd November,2019 in the Bianchi hall of Don Bosco International School building.
The students of Std 5 and 6 were divided into two groups:9.40 am-11.40 am classes 5A, 5C, 6A, 6B and 11.45 am-1.15 pm: classes 5B, 5D, 6C, 6D.
Parents of the participants were invited to watch the performance of their children.
Each class was divided into different categories such as speech exercise (poem recitation), mono acting (Inventor’s category) on famous personalities like Shivaji Maharaj, Dr.Ambedkar, Graham Bell etc. There were other performances such as ‘Open the door’ mime,commonly mispronounced words, and Surprise Birthday party skit.
As the boys the enacted, the parents had to guess the role and the parents who gave right answers were rewarded with stars on their hands. This kept the parents as well as students entertained. The props used by the students were prepared by them and these were highly appreciated.

“It was something new that we have ever seen, simply amazing to see our kids perform,” exclaimed a happy parent. “I enjoyed thoroughly and learnt many things during the classes as well as today’s program,” said Shashank Gupta. Keegan Peres expressed, ” I thank our school management and teachers for giving us this wonderful opportunity to learn and explore.”
